WHAT EMPLOYERS HAVE TO SAY

TANELE MATSEBULA - BULEMBU

I joined SEIWU in March 2012. working with Seiwu has been a great experience. As employees, we can now interact with our management better and working with a friend- ly management makes work enjoyable. The union is able to analyze employees needs properly and other issues properly through the use of law. SEIWU helped me in knowing all my rights as an employees. Be- fore SEIWU we were always in disagreements with our employer. We believed in violence and strikes to get things done and that would result in loss of jobs to most employees.

HLOPHE MFANZILE – ARMAGH

I connected with SEIWU in April, 2012. since then my welfare at work is taken care of and what I love most is that the union Christian based principle. The conduct of my Employers has drastically changed ever since SEIWU got on board; I can now talk to my boss without fear. SEIWU enlightened most of us at work of our rights as employees. Through SEIWU‘s negotiations, we now have better salaries and we get proper uniform and safety clothing.

SIMELANE SIMON – NHR NHLANGANO

I have SEIWU at heart. I joined in February 2012 and ever since that time, the union has never disappointed me. Communication between Employer and Employees at work is amazing and unbelievably great. SEIWU played a major role in promoting reviews. Warnings and unlawful dismissals at work is now very limited and through SEIWU I am enjoying work. Employers and employees used to see things differently. Handling Employees issues through the help of the union make things better and professional because they use written law.

MANYATSI NOBUHLE – NKONYENI PRE-CAST

First of all, I am naughty person and very irritable, but SEIWU has taught me never to act out of emotions. So joining SEIWU in September 2013 was the best thing that ever happened to me. SEIWU is not a single handed union; it gives fair judgments at the end of all issues which leaves both Employer and Employee satisfied and happy. Before SEIWU it was easy for employers to call us names and it used to take a long time for one to be a permanent worker. SEIWU has done a great job, thank you

MABUZA ZANDILE – MALUTHA

SEIWU gave me a peace of mind. Since I joined in March 2012, handling employees issues has been very professional and a remarkable success. At work there is peace , one thing which was not there; proper welfare and salary increment. We were not given sick sheets previously and one could lose a job just for coming late. I would like to urge other Employers and Employees to join hands and bring SEIWU on board, they will not regret.

GULE MDUDUZI - ELECTED NATIONALTREASURER ERROSTAN NGONINI

SEIWU puts God first, I put God first so yes this union is just my cup of tea. This union is unique to other unions I know. God is the provider, so how can you put God aside and expect to get things? Since SEIWU got on board in my company there are limited cases of employees discontent and better knowledge of workers rights. Communication and negotiations at work is now very professional, I like it! Working with Seiwu is great and I think it is a good union for the whole Swazi nation for economic empowerment.

SAMBULO BHEMBE– BMS BULEMBU

In march 2012 I joined SEIWU. I have experience with other unions but SEIWU helped me realise better means of working peacefully and getting benefits without violence. Communication within the company is very good. Seiwu is more like a shield for all Employees. It provides greater protection while making sure that all benefits; salary increments, safety and health is properly and timely provided. In the absence of SEIWU, there were fake promises from employers, people were dismissed for lame reasons and no one would attend to such issues.

'SEIWU UNGIVULE EMEHLO‘

THOMAS DLAMINI – NHR BHUNYA

I became a member in February 2011. I do not regret my decision because I have seen greater changes at work. The conduct of my Employers to Employees is quite good which was one thing that was really not there. Unlawful expulsion of employees is very limited and our welfare is one of the priorities for the smooth running of the company. Cases are taken to lawful hands and workshops are conducted for shop stewards. Employees know their rights and good conduct at work. SEIWU does not promote laziness rather emphasizes dedication and friendly relationship of the Employer and the Employee.

MAYIBONGWE DLAMINI – SRR

I joined SEIWU in August 2012. Working with SEIWU is very good and we experience very limited problems at work. To me the union is more like a consultant and advisor when I am attending to employees issues. As a shop steward, my relationship with my Employer is good and when SEIWU came around things became more and more good. Negotiations used to be very hard and salaries would sometime be below the inflation rate. I value SEIWU so much and my dream is to see all employees of Plantation Company joining the union.

MANAGING DIRECTOR MR MAURITIUS
NKONYENI PRE-CAST (NPC)

Working with Seiwu is very professional. I like the front door policy because it gives me confidence in the positive operation within the company. With the help of Seiwu and my Production Manager Mr George Sizwe Howe working has become easy. I receive reports on employees issues and information dissemination within the company is done with greater integrity. The conduct of my employees has really improved : the shop stewards have been coached by the union on excellent operating procedures and opening productive avenues of communication. A good platform is created for negotiations and they are all done professionally.

MANAGING DIRECTOR MR ERROL SHONGWE
ERROSTAN INVESTMENTS NGONINI

SEIWU‘s operation within our company has so far been good. What I noted about this union is that it does not exist to put traps for the employers. They work peacefully and respect their principles at all costs. The union does not do away with the law, rather it analyses it properly for the employer and employees to implement it accordingly. Based on my experience with other unions, SEIWU is a professional union and very unique. The Front Door Policy is what gave me hope that it is a really a different union and ‘̳abaketeli kutolola tikhali‘. Our shop stewards have been well trained on how to control their fellow employees at work with great respect. It is my wish that other employers recognise the union, they wont regret it.

MANAGING DIRECTOR MR NEAL RIJKENBERG
MONTIGNY INVESTMENTS

Giving a speech on May Day in SiSwati, he thanked SEIWU for uniting the employers and employees . It is the first of its kind, the Front Door Policy is what impressed me most about the union. Most unions operate secretly with the employees creating a very closed, negative environment. SEIWU has created a good atmosphere where both employer and employees solve things on the table without the use of violence or hidden agendas. Moreover, the union's main aim is improving the economy of Swaziland . This will not only help those working, even those at home will benefit because economic improvement benefits everyone. SEIWU, together with employers and employees made history in marking the start of economic growth in Swaziland.

We hope for a better future with SEIWU.
